The Role

You’ll take a broad, hands-on role across the finance function, combining strong financial management with commercial insight and forward planning.

Key areas of responsibility will include:

• Taking ownership of day-to-day financial management, controls and reporting
• Producing clear and meaningful management information for senior stakeholders
• Leading budgeting, forecasting and longer-term financial planning
• Developing and maintaining financial models to support business planning and decision-making
• Identifying opportunities to improve finance processes, systems and ways of working
• Providing commercial insight to support strategic and operational decisions
• Supporting cash-flow planning and wider financial management
• Working with external finance and accounting partners where required
• Supporting investor and senior stakeholder reporting
• Helping the business prepare financially for its next stage of growth and investment

About You

We’re looking for someone who combines strong technical finance capability with a commercial, proactive mindset.

You may currently be working as a Senior Finance Manager, Financial Controller, Finance Lead or in a similar role, with experience in a growing or investor-backed business.

You’ll ideally bring:

• Strong core finance and financial management experience
• Experience working within a scaling or entrepreneurial environment
• Good financial modelling, forecasting and planning capability
• Confidence working with senior stakeholders and communicating financial information clearly
• A hands-on approach and willingness to get into the detail
• An interest in improving processes rather than simply maintaining them
• Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of how finance supports wider business decisions
• Experience with fundraising, investment processes, investor reporting or due diligence would be advantageous
• ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification preferred
• Most importantly, you’ll be someone who wants ownership and influence, rather than simply inheriting an established finance function.

Location

Remote – UK preferred, with flexibility for candidates based within a reasonable time zone of the UK.
