Lewis Davey is a looking for a ‘commercial weapon’, someone who brings experience/knowledge across the carbon markets/sustainability or even financial services (consulting rather than transactional). Commercial leads who can drive new business development, growth of teams and possess all the traits of a self-starter, ambitious, great in the board room and ultimately want to make an impact! An opportunity that brings option schemes and a pivotal play in the company future. A growth role that can lead to a ‘Chief Commercial Officer’ etc.
We are working with a specialist climate and carbon market advisory who provide strategic advice on net zero, carbon portfolios, risk, integrity, and long-term procurement. A small start-up that helps organisations design net zero and carbon mitigation strategies. They build long-term, diversified carbon portfolios rather than one-off offsets. With a financial, legal and risk thinking to carbon, they act as a trusted intermediary between corporates, project developers, insurers, lawyers, and registries etc.
Lewis Davey is looking to speak senior professionals who offer a combination of both developing new business and delivering the works. Someone who is comfortable with and has proven selling experience, familiar in dealing with senior decision makers and accustomed with due diligence, impact assessment, and risk reduction. Ultimately, looking for those that can open doors, lead consultative sales, and structure bespoke deals/delivery.
The client is a fast-growing exciting business who is looking to become market leaders in natural capital in the UK, they are already working with several amazing clients and we expect to continue. The individual who is successful will have the opportunity to drive impact by pushing the narrative within businesses about why they should work with natural capital and carbon credits. They are looking for someone to come in at an associate director level and grow into to a more leadership role and manage a team.
A Commercial growth role that will see the appointed person involved in the following.
– Advising senior client executives on their carbon strategies.
– Designing bespoke carbon solutions that make real-world impact.
– Fostering new and lasting relationships with global brands who want to lead in climate action.
– Driving growth in a fast-paced, ambitious start-up where your voice is truly heard.
– Getting stuck into every part of the business including the carbon projects themselves.
– Supporting the evolution of our go-to-market strategy and product design.
What you will need to succeed
– Experience in business development or client advisory.
– Experience in working directly with senior management / C-suite.
– Demonstrate experience bringing in large-scale deals with corporates.
– Deep passion for sustainability, with knowledge of carbon markets a plus.
– Familiarity with financial products or services highly advantageous.
– Fired up by working in a start-up environment.
– Confident, energetic, innovative — ready to shape solutions and drive results.
