Lewis Davey is recruiting for an Energy Modelling Specialist to join a growing multidisciplinary sustainability consultancy delivering high-quality energy modelling, compliance, and building performance strategies across commercial refurbishment and fit-out projects. We’re looking to speak with candidates who possess strong hands-on experience in IES VE (ApacheSim) and a proven track record of delivering real project outputs.

What you’ll be doing

  • Dynamic thermal modelling (DSM)
  • TM52 & TM54 analysis
  • Non-domestic EPCs & Part L compliance (BRUKL)
  • Supporting BREEAM & NABERS assessments
  • Passive design & LZC feasibility studies
  • Producing clear, client-facing technical reports
  • Collaborating with architects, MEP teams & contractors

What we are looking for

  • Proven delivery using IES VE (not just exposure)
  • Experience with TM52, TM54 & EPCs
  • Strong knowledge of Part L & dynamic simulation modelling
  • Experience contributing to BREEAM energy credits (ENE 01+)
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical outputs

You must be able to provide examples of completed modelling work (TM52, EPC, BRUKL) and explain your role in delivering them. This is a great opportunity to join a collaborative consultancy environment where your technical expertise directly influences real-world building performance.

Desirable

  • Experience with NABERS UK assessments
  • Experience working on commercial fit-out / CAT A & CAT B projects
  • Familiarity with Part O overheating assessments

Candidate Profile

  • Detail-oriented and technically rigorous
  • Comfortable working in a consultancy environment with multiple deadlines and integrates well with the rest of the team
  • Proactive and able to manage workload independently
  • Strong problem solving skills with a practical approach to modelling
  • Ability to work with minimal oversight and deliver on programme

Additional Requirements

  • Willing to commute to the office 3 days per week
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a car

Level open to:

  • Strong mid-level candidates (2-5+ years experience), or
  • More senior candidates capable of leading modelling workstreams
