Lewis Davey is recruiting for an Energy Modelling Specialist to join a growing multidisciplinary sustainability consultancy delivering high-quality energy modelling, compliance, and building performance strategies across commercial refurbishment and fit-out projects. We’re looking to speak with candidates who possess strong hands-on experience in IES VE (ApacheSim) and a proven track record of delivering real project outputs.
What you’ll be doing
- Dynamic thermal modelling (DSM)
- TM52 & TM54 analysis
- Non-domestic EPCs & Part L compliance (BRUKL)
- Supporting BREEAM & NABERS assessments
- Passive design & LZC feasibility studies
- Producing clear, client-facing technical reports
- Collaborating with architects, MEP teams & contractors
What we are looking for
- Proven delivery using IES VE (not just exposure)
- Experience with TM52, TM54 & EPCs
- Strong knowledge of Part L & dynamic simulation modelling
- Experience contributing to BREEAM energy credits (ENE 01+)
- Ability to clearly communicate technical outputs
You must be able to provide examples of completed modelling work (TM52, EPC, BRUKL) and explain your role in delivering them. This is a great opportunity to join a collaborative consultancy environment where your technical expertise directly influences real-world building performance.
Desirable
- Experience with NABERS UK assessments
- Experience working on commercial fit-out / CAT A & CAT B projects
- Familiarity with Part O overheating assessments
Candidate Profile
- Detail-oriented and technically rigorous
- Comfortable working in a consultancy environment with multiple deadlines and integrates well with the rest of the team
- Proactive and able to manage workload independently
- Strong problem solving skills with a practical approach to modelling
- Ability to work with minimal oversight and deliver on programme
Additional Requirements
- Willing to commute to the office 3 days per week
- Full UK driving licence and access to a car
Level open to:
- Strong mid-level candidates (2-5+ years experience), or
- More senior candidates capable of leading modelling workstreams
